Rinconcito Salvadoreño, located in Port Chester at 20 Broad St., will appear on Fieri's popular show, "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" on Friday, Sept. 8 on Food Network.
The episode will highlight the eatery's authentic Central-American cuisine, which includes pupusa, a thick griddle cake filled with pork, chicken, cheese, and other options; grilled chicken with rice, tortillas, and more; Salvadoran-inspired steaks; and a variety of soups.
Fieri was seen filming the episode on Friday, May 19. In addition to Rinconcito Salvadoreño, the episode will also feature a Malaysian restaurant in Cincinnati as well as an Omaha family serving Detroit-style pizza out of a bus.
The episode will air at 9 p.m., according to Food Network.
In addition to serving lunch and dinner, Rinconcito Salvadoreño also serves up an all-day breakfast as well as delicious dessert options such as flan and Atol de Elote, sweet corn served with a hot milk drink.
The family-owned eatery was opened in 1993, a decade after the opening of the original locale in Jamaica, Queens. The Port Chester eatery relocated to Broad Street in 2001.
